Grant of the Nomination for the Austrian National Award for Consulting 2008

APPRAISAL OF THE JURY

The jury honoured the project as an example of outstanding Austrian technical planning in conjunction with an impressive consultancy service. The project was convincing due to a well-considered and creative application of technology in coordination with the local architectural conditions, the function of the building and also the climate at the location.
Highly impressive was the successful technical solution, especially the convincing consultation methodology from analysis and conception, model studies under the artificial sky right through to construction and a one-year-long trial of a 1:1 model with appropriate involvement of a wide range of experts.
Last but not least, the project also persuaded the jury from an environmental viewpoint, with an extensive reduction in the need for energy for artificial lighting and air conditioning, which is considered to be an effective contribution to minimization of impact on the environment.

The jury bestows the honour of a Nomination for this outstanding technical achievement.
