Don't be so inquisitive! ...

 

... that was the slogan for the Long Night of Research 2008

But luckily it didn't stop anyone.

That what is usually researched behind closed doors at Bartenbach LichtLabor, attracted thousands of inquisitive people - from youths to pensioners. With free admittance and a shuttle-bus service, they seized the chance to take a look behind the scenes of our research facility and allowed themselves be captured by the fascination of light.

Among other many interesting things, they were shown a recently developed revolutionary surgical light with shading correction and other innovative state-of-the-art technology.

Or a setup for the film and photographic industries – the so-called Cine Reflect Lighting System (CRLS) – which offers directors, actors, camera operators, photographers etc. many advantages as opposed to conventional illumination methods, one of these advantages being that there is almost no generation off heat on the set.

 

Captivated by topics such as, light for medicinal purposes or well-being, or LED for illumination applications, we are looking forward to LNR in the next year.

It would be a pleasure to welcome you again in 2009 into the domain of light research, or to welcome you for the first time.

The enthusiasts were also shown other bits and pieces such as light traps, models and lamps in operation which enabled them to actually experience the different effects of light.
