The exploratory study BODYBUILD aims to analyze the main barriers in the field of daylight utilization in buildings and to compile a roadmap for future developments. The three core topics are characterization methods for daylight systems, daylight simulation software and awareness raising for the importance of good daylight in buildings.
Bodybuild is a joint project with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA, and the China Academy of Building Research, China, as external partners (letter of intent). It is funded in the programme „Beyond Europe“ of the Federal Ministry Digital and Economic Affairs and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG.
