As part of a refurbishment, two psychiatric wards of a regional hospital in Hall in Tyrol were equipped with a state-of-art human-centric light solutions. The lighting systems changed illuminances and light colors over 24 hours in bedrooms, corridors, and resting and staff’s areas.
In cooperation with the Institute of Psychology of the Karl-Franzens University Graz, non-visual light effects of these lighting installations on depressive and demented patients were evaluated.
