A perforated sheet of metal with a panorama of the Ötztal Alps wraps around the front of the entrance area of the Giggijochbahn in Sölden. During the day, openings in this metal façade present a dark pointillist picture of the mountains on a light background. At night, the panorama shines in blue LED light. The ingenious interplay between the different-sized holes in the metal façade and LED lighting provides observers with an incredible spatial effect. The blue backlighting changes the entire appearance without the need for any additional lighting features.
