The redesign of Nørreport Station has transformed a chaotic transport hub into a safe and transparent urban space for 250,000 daily users. The lighting concept underlines the openness and transparency of the urban space. The white concrete roofs, bathed in warm light, look like "magnets of light". Light towers conceal the ventilation ducts necessary for the underground platforms and help guide passers-by across the square at night. Points of light at the bike stands provide a soft veil of light.
