New location for the light

In November 2024, we will relocate our headquarters from Aldrans to Wattens in Tyrol. The only thing that will change for you are the contact details. Bartenbach's scope of services as the market leader for international lighting design and lighting solutions along with its footprint as an independent engineering office since 1960, however, remain the same.

Around 80 experts from architecture and design, physics and psychology, model making and mathematics, engineering and computer science are already working together in interdisciplinary teams on pioneering artificial and daylight planning as well as on the development of optical components and light research. At our designated company headquarters in Wattens, we have perfectly adapted all work processes and areas to the new work situation. This ensures optimized processes and makes our everyday work easier – an ideal basis for growth and innovation.

New home for the Bartenbach infrastructure
The entire infrastructure for planning, research and development along with the Bartenbach Light World and Artificial Sky is moving. The redesigning of the Light World will take place gradually after relocation. It makes technical-physical, creative and perceptual psychological aspects of light tangible based on a variety of models – and serves as a starting point for holistic lighting design. A completely redesigned artificial sky, the only one of its kind in the world, will further enrich the premises at the Wattens site in 2025.
