Prof. Dr. h.c. Ing. Christian Bartenbach
In 1976 Christian Bartenbach established what was then called 'Lighting Design Christian Bartenbach', the engineering office that has meanwhile changed its name to Bartenbach LichtLabor. His work, patented both in Europe and on a worldwide scale, has led to pioneering inventions such as highly efficient glare-free systems technologies, daylight redirection systems and novel sunshading systems. Christian Bartenbach was appointed honoraryprofessor in 1993. His achievements and publications on lighting technology and lighting design, much appreciated in professional circles have won him numerous teaching assignments and visiting professorships at Central European universities.
